4 PLAYERS YOU NEED TO TARGET IN YOUR DRAFT🎯

QB Lamar Jackson:

Target Lamar Jackson in the 3rd or 4th round of your draft. The Ravens’ star quarterback gets an upgrade in scheme, as new offensive coordinator Todd Monken will increase passing volume while playing uptempo. It’s also the best supporting cast of Lamar’s career following the additions of Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers. Jackson has a chance to finish as the overall QB1, but you get him at a discount due to his last two seasons where he was held back by injury.

RB Tony Pollard:

You can take Tony Pollard in the late 1st or early 2nd round of your draft. Don’t be afraid to reach on Pollard as it’s his time to shine following Ezekiel Elliott’s departure. Every time we’ve seen Pollard get an increased role, he’s performed like an elite RB1 in fantasy. The Cowboys have an elite offensive line with a high-scoring offense, so Pollard has a chance to really pay off his ADP. It’s the perfect storm of situation and talent here.

Pollard is one of the most efficient runners in the NFL, averaging at least five yards per carry in three of his four seasons. The Cowboys' running back can hit this Over on about 210 carries, which is a low bar considering his increased role.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown:

I recommend taking Amon-Ra St. Brown in the late 1st/early 2nd round of your draft. This is a third-year wideout who has an established rapport with his quarterback, Jared Goff, and who has demonstrated an elite ability to earn targets in each of his first two years. The Lions have a strong offensive line with continuity in their scheme as offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is still with the team. St. Brown is one of the safest picks you can make this year.

St. Brown is the target hog and main red zone threat in the passing game for the Lions. The star wideout was tackled inside the five-yard line six times last year, but he could still eclipse this number. There's untapped touchdown upside here, so be sure to take the Over.

TE Mark Andrews:

Go after Mark Andrews in the late 2nd/early 3rd round because he’s the only tight end capable of outscoring Travis Kelce. In fact, Andrews accomplished this daunting feat as recently as 2021, where he had a higher fantasy points per game. The Ravens are going to pass more this year under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Andrews has the rare ability to win downfield and rack up yards after the catch that few tight ends possess. Draft him with confidence to shore up the weakest position in fantasy.

The Ravens are going to pass more and play at a faster pace. This will give Andrews more opportunities to rack up receiving yards. The star tight end has cleared this number in three of his last four seasons. The only way he fails to do so this year is if he gets injured.

4 SLEEPERS TO KEEP AN EYE ON 😴

QB Sam Howell:

Sam Howell has impressed the Commanders’ coaching staff throughout training camp. The second-year quarterback is surrounded by a strong supporting cast that includes a pair of stud wideouts in Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson. New playcaller Eric Bieniemy comes from the Chiefs, so there’s a chance that we could see an innovative scheme. Howell also offers upside on the ground, having rushed for 800 yards in his final year at North Carolina. The Commanders’ quarterback looks like a terrific streamer in Week 1 against the lackluster Cardinals.

RB Evan Hull:

Jonathan Taylor is on the PUP list, so he won’t be playing for the first four games of the year. While Zack Moss and Deon Jackson could get more touches early on, don’t forget about rookie Evan Hull, who the new Colts’ regime selected in the fifth round of this year’s draft. It looks like Indianapolis is ready to embrace a youth movement: just look how they immediately named rookie Anthony Richardson as the starting quarterback. I’d bet that they give Hull a chance to see what he can do.

WR Michael Gallup:

Michael Gallup is coming off a poor season, but let’s not forget that this was his first year off a torn ACL, which tends to affect player production. The Cowboys’ third wideout is a nice stash because there’s a chance that Dallas tries to open it up and pass at a higher rate, especially with their thin running back room behind Tony Pollard. If CeeDee Lamb or Brandin Cooks were forced to miss time, Gallup would see a bump in value. This is the type of stash that works well at the end of your bench because he’s just a lottery ticket that you won’t have to consider starting unless the situation changes.

TE Luke Musgrave:

The Packers selected Luke Musgrave in the second round of this year’s draft, so there’s a good chance that they have big plans for him in Year 1. This is a team with limited target competition behind Christian Watson. Musgrave is the starting tight end for Green Bay and looks poised for a prominent role within this offense. While rookie tight ends tend to take longer to develop, this was one of the best classes in recent drafts, so there’s a chance that Musgrave can be an outlier. Stash Musgrave as your TE2 and see how he’s used early on because he can make an impact later in the year.

WHO TO DRAFT AT YOUR ROUND 2 & 3 POSITIONs 🚨

We are assuming Round 1 players are off the board, so if you happened to miss our Round 1 picks, you can find them here.

Again, these are the players I would personally pick at every spot in the second and third rounds of a 12-team PPR draft. So, if any of these guys slip below their spot, I would make them a top option.

Here’s how I’d approach Round 2:

  1. Bijan Robinson

  2. Tony Pollard

  3. Nick Chubb

  4. Jaylen Waddle

  5. Garrett Wilson

  6. Davante Adams

  7. Chris Olave

  8. Derrick Henry

  9. Josh Jacobs

  10. Mark Andrews

  11. Calvin Ridley

  12. Jalen Hurts

This is what I’d do in Round 3:

  1. Lamar Jackson

  2. Patrick Mahomes

  3. Josh Allen

  4. Rhamondre Stevenson

  5. Jahmyr Gibbs

  6. DK Metcalf

  7. DeVonta Smith

  8. Tee Higgins

  9. Travis Etienne Jr.

  10. Deebo Samuel

  11. Keenan Allen

  12. DJ Moore

HOW TO NAVIGATE THE JONATHAN TAYLOR SITUATION 🐴🙅‍♂️

That sound you heard was fantasy football players groaning after the Colts not only refused to trade Jonathan Taylor, but left him on the PUP list so that he’s out for at least the first four games of the year. This is a situation to avoid because there’s the slight risk that Taylor will miss more than that. However, if you’re in the seventh or eighth round and Taylor is still on the board, you can take a shot for a chance at league-winning upside. Don’t draft him earlier than that, though. If you’re looking for a shot at the Colts’ backfield, target Evan Hull because the rookie was hand-picked by the current coaching staff, whereas Deon Jackson and Zack Moss are veteran holdovers from the previous regime.
