Bet on This Parlay for the Sports Equinox!
Plus: Week 9 MNF, World Series Parlays, Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, NBA Props & NHL Parlays
We’ve got the rare occasion of a Sports Equinox, with MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL games all on the same day.
With that in mind, I decided to build a parlay for you with one pick from each sport!
This four-leg parlay gets you (+1040) odds at DraftKings, meaning that a $10 wager would pay $104.
I’ll start with Juan Soto Over 1.5 hits+runs+RBI, as the Yankees’ superstar has been red-hot, going 6-for-17 with six runs, three homers, and six RBI in his last four games.
Next up is Najee Harris Over 63.5 rushing yards, as the Steelers’ running back has eclipsed 100 yards in each of his last two games, set to take on a Giants defense that has allowed 5.3 yards per carry (31st).
Third is Knicks moneyline over the Cavaliers. Not only does New York have home court advantage here, but Cleveland is playing their third game in four nights. Meanwhile, the Knicks have had two days of rest.
I’ll finish it off with Maple Leafs moneyline, since this team is looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Toronto is much better than their 4-4-1 record, while the Jets are so due for a loss (8-0-0). This is the first game off a three-game road trip for Winnipeg.

🎬 Week 8 MNF: Giants vs Steelers
I'm wary of projecting blowouts, but the Giants have virtually nothing going for them right now, and things won't get any easier against the Steelers. Pittsburgh finally appears to be finding its footing on offense, and combined with its second-ranked defense, this team is beginning to look like a genuine contender.
T.J. Watt's pass rush remains the key to the equation for the Steelers, but this offense has produced 30-plus points in back-to-back games, and Wilson looked impressive in his first game. Justin Fields had looked more than capable in the weeks prior, but Wilson's long ball opens up the field in ways that Fields can't.
Pittsburgh should also find success on the ground behind Najee Harris, who has gone for 100-plus rushing yards in each of his last two appearances. New York is allowing a league-worst 5.4 yards per carry to opponents, so expect the Steelers to establish the run early.
On offense, the Giants are likely to struggle in all facets. Daniel Jones won't be much of a rushing threat against a unit that ranks second in yards per attempt, and his inaccuracy through the air bodes well for Pittsburgh, which has already generated 13 takeaways.
MNF Score Prediction: Steelers 24, Giants 6
💰 World Series Parlays
Best MLB Parlay (+116)
Juan Soto 1+ Hits (-185) vs Dodgers
Freddie Freeman 1+ Hits (-205) at Yankees
The top parlay starts with Juan Soto to get a hit.
The Yankees' superstar has gone 7-for-16 (.438) during his current four-game hitting streak, set for a good matchup vs Walker Buehler, who has allowed a .380 wOBA vs lefties this season.
I'll add Freddie Freeman to get a hit.
The Dodgers' first baseman has found his groove following that epic walk-off grand slam in Game 1, homering in each game this series. All we need is a hit for this one.
🏈 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos (25% rostered in Yahoo leagues)
Bo Nix is averaging 22.2 fantasy points per game in his last four games, ranking as QB5 during that stretch.
The Broncos' rookie has rushed for 60+ yards in two of those games, along with two rushing touchdowns.
This gives him a floor to put up solid fantasy production.
Denver is in a good spot in Week 9, set to face a Ravens defense that ranks 28th in Pass EPA.
Find out who else you should pick up on your waiver wires for Week 9.
🏀 NBA Props
Trae Young: Over 26.5 Points (-115) vs Wizards
The season has only just begun, but Trae Young has gotten off to an incredible start. The seventh-year guard is averaging 30.7 points per game and has already scored 30-plus in two of his first three games, including a 38-point showing in last Friday's win over the Hornets.
Young hasn't been doing it entirely from deep, either. The 26-year-old is getting to the free-throw line at an incredibly high rate, averaging 12.3 attempts per game and converting nearly 90%. Even in a down performance against Oklahoma City, he scored 24 points and went 8-for-8 from the stripe.
Young did just log 37 minutes against the Thunder on Sunday, but in 2023-24, he was actually at his best on the second night of back-to-backs, averaging 29.9 points in eight instances. The Wizards also have an abysmal defense, so he shouldn't face much resistance.
Young looks poised for another big performance as he continues to lead one of the league's most efficient offenses.
💰 NHL Parlays
Predators vs Lightning SGP (+355)
Predators +1.5 (-218)
Under 6.5 Goals (-120)
Steven Stamkos: Over 0.5 Points (-145)
For Monday's NHL same-game parlay, I'm zeroing in on the interconference showdown between the Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning. This contest will be emotional as former Lightning captain Steven Stamkos returns to Tampa Bay for the first time in a different sweater.
The 34-year-old has endured a difficult start to the season, registering just one point and owning a minus-seven across eight games. However, I expect his best effort here and think he'll find his way onto the scoresheet.
As the close moneyline odds indicate, this game could go either way. With that in mind, I like taking the Predators to cover the puck line as short road underdogs, especially since they should be riding high after winning three straight games.
I'll also take the Under at 6.5 goals because this matchup features two of the best goaltenders in the NHL, Juuse Saros and Andrei Vasilevskiy. The Under hit in the most recent meeting between these two teams, a 5-1 win by Nashville on Dec. 7.
A similar result on Monday night would go a long way toward helping us cash this NHL SGP.
