Drone Slicing off a Part of Your Finger or Boar Attack? 🐗
PLUS: Oppenheimer release date = Rays moneyline 💣, Barbie release date = Yankees moneyline 🤣, the Dan Snyder era is gone in Washington 💰, craziest baseball injuries of all time 🤧, Damian Lillard to the Heat confirmed 🥵!
Oppenheimer Release Date = Rays Moneyline 💰
Here’s why.👇
Wild Tyler Glasnow had time to star in Oppenheimer while rehabbing from Tommy John

Have you ever noticed that Tyler Glasnow, stud pitcher from the Tampa Bay Rays, looks exactly like Cilian Murphy, actor from Peaky Blinders?
Murphy will also be playing the role of J. Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan's new movie, Oppenheimer. Nolan is one of the elite filmmakers of our age with movies like The Dark Knight, Inception, and Interstellar all under his belt. This just goes to show this movie is going to be special.
This movie is based on the life of Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who was pivotal in developing nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project.
In light of this movie releasing and the Tampa Bay Rays having Murphy’s twin on their team, I am dropping a BOMB on their moneyline! 💣
After a historic start to the season, where the Tampa Bay Rays achieved a remarkable 13-0 record and entered June with an outstanding 40-19 record, it seemed like no team in the AL East could catch up to them. However, as we reach the end of July, the Baltimore Orioles managed to surpass starter Glasnow and the Rays last night with a hard-fought 4-3 victory in a 10-inning game. This marked the Rays' fifth consecutive loss.
Tonight, the Rays will attempt to break their losing streak as they face the Orioles again in Game 2 at Tropicana Field. On the mound for the Rays is Zach Eflin, who has been nearly flawless at home this year, boasting a 9-1 record and an impressive 2.34 ERA.
With the Rays still an MLB-best 35-16 at home, I’m taking their moneyline. Plus, they have Oppenheimer on their side. 🤣
In case you didn't know, the movie Barbie, featuring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is also releasing today. So, if we're betting on the Rays for Oppenheimer, let's bet on the Yankees for Barbie. It makes sense to me. 🤷♂️

The NFL owners have unanimously approved a group led by Josh Harris to acquire the Washington Commanders from Dan Snyder. This marks the end of the Snyder era, and Washington fans should be taking the day off and popping the champagne as we speak.
The decision to sell the team comes after years of controversy and animosity surrounding Dan Snyder, who faced pressure to relinquish ownership due to recent scandals.
I did the math ...

As Josh Harris takes charge of the franchise, we will soon see the new direction he chooses to undertake. There's a strong possibility that he changes the team name to erase Snyder’s legacy. Reply to this email with your Commanders name suggestion. 📩
Craziest Baseball Injuries of All Time?
With the news of Jarred Kelenic breaking his foot kicking a water cooler, what's the CRAZIEST baseball injury of all-time?
We'll start: Yoenis Cespedes breaking his ankle in an altercation with a wild boar

Trevor Bauer
During the 2016 ALCS, Bauer experienced a horrifying injury just before one of the most significant games of his career. While repairing his drone, he accidentally sliced his finger, resulting in the Indians having to postpone his scheduled start in the series. When Bauer eventually took the field in Game 3, his stitches gave way in the first inning, forcing him to leave the game.
Sammy Sosa & Kevin Pillar
In 2004, Sammy Sosa suffered an injury caused by a violent sneeze, leading to back spasms.
Similarly, in 2015, Kevin Pillar hurt himself while sneezing, straining an oblique and missing some time during spring training.
Yoenis Céspedes
During his time with the New York Mets, outfielder Yoenis Céspedes spent a considerable period on the DL. In the 2019 offseason before his final year with the team, he endured a mysterious right ankle injury on his ranch. Initially rumored to be caused by falling off his horse, it was later reported that Céspedes was attempting to avoid a wild boar on his ranch and accidentally stepped into a hole, resulting in an ankle break.
Brian Roberts
We used to see Bo Jackson break his bat like a toothpick after some of his strikeouts. Brian Roberts tried to do the same thing in 2010 by whacking himself on the head with his bat while wearing his helmet. Unfortunately, he hit himself too hard, resulting in a concussion that forced him to miss the remainder of the season and a significant portion of the following one.
Best MLB Predictions for Today’s Games
Let’s dive in and check out my favorite MLB best bets for Friday, July 21.
Angels -1.5 (+105) vs Pirates
The Angels’ moneyline for this game can be found as high as -205, making the current run line spread all the more enticing.
Over the last 14 days, Los Angeles has posted a stellar 126 wRC+ with a .352 wOBA, while the Pirates have managed a mere 43 wRC+ during that same time period with a .235 wOBA.
To make matters worse for Pittsburgh, Shohei Ohtani is on the mound for the Angels. The dual-threat superstar has struggled over his previous two outings but posted a 2.76 ERA and 3.22 FIP in the seven outings that preceded those.
Conversely, Johan Oviedo has earned a 6.75 ERA and 5.70 FIP over his last three starts with a 1.93 HR/9. In addition, the right-hander carries a 1.56 WHIP and 10.6% walk rate on the road.
Twins -1.5 (+138) vs White Sox
Joe Ryan takes the mound for Minnesota on Friday. The 27-year-old carries a 2.99 ERA and 3.39 SIERA over 112.1 innings this season, with a 1.03 WHIP and 28.9% strikeout rate.
That said, the right-hander has struggled a bit since his complete game shutout agaidnt the Red Sox on June 22.
However, Ryan held the White Sox scoreless over six frames during his only start against them this season, and I have far more confidence in the Twins ace than Lance Lynn.
If you are searching for player props, head to our MLB prop bets page to bet on home runs, strikeouts, and more.
Since May 31, Lynn has earned a 6.40 ERA and 5.31 FIP over eight starts with a 2.40 HR/9.
In addition, the White Sox bats have been stone cold of late. Over the past two weeks, the Chicago lineup has mustered a 68 wRC+ and .270 wOBA, all while the Twins bats have posted a 125 wRC+ and .349 wOBA during the same stretch.
You could consider a first-five wager for the Twins, but I like the full-game run line value due to their superior bullpen.

While the Damian Lillard trade rumors have calmed down recently, a video showing Jimmy Butler imitating Lillard's iconic celebration sparks speculation that the Heat might acquire the superstar.
If the Heat manage to land Lillard, Miami to win the 2023-24 NBA Championship is an absolute steal at the sportsbooks at +900. Don't wait for the official announcement; place your bet now before their odds shift and they become the favorites!
