The Fantasy Football Hall-of-Famer is BACK for your Fantasy Championship!
Read for EXCLUSIVE deep fantasy football sleeper tips and prop bets!
Fantasy football Week 17 features the most important game of the year as we head into championship matchups. Here, I’ll help you create a lifetime of lasting fantasy Super Bowl memories with a rundown of unlikely championship game heroes.
Fantasy Super Bowl titles are eternal, especially for bragging rights. If you are facing situations where you need a deeper play to come through, this is where you will find the gutsy and nifty picks that will help you reach championship glory in Week 17.
Fantasy Tips
1. Touchdown Trenton: Cincinnati’s New End Zone Hero 🦸♂️
Because of injuries or other challenging situations in larger or highly competitive leagues, you may need to dig deep for a WR or flex option in Week 17. Cincinnati’s Trenton Irwin is worthy of consideration if you must go with a desperation option.
Irwin caught two TD passes in Week 16, and he also had a TD catch in Week 14. Joe Burrow is clearly looking Irwin’s way in some big play situations, as he has long receptions of 45 and 43 yards this season along with four total TD receptions in eight games played this year.
Cincinnati-Buffalo will be one of the highest-scoring games of the week, with a projected total of 49.5 at Betfred. Irwin should get involved in a potential shootout where a secondary WR option can make some notable contributions.
2. Take a Shot on Teddy 🧸
Some fantasy players have reached their championship games while overcoming quarterback issues, and still need to do so in Week 17. For those who still need a plug-in option at QB for Week 17, consider Miami’s Teddy Bridgewater.
Tua Tagovailoa certainly deserves his share of credit for any previous success this season, but he also is working in an offensive system that can elevate the production of the quarterback. A veteran QB like Bridgewater who has Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle certainly can perform adequately for fantasy purposes.
New England ranks 16th in fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to QBs, so it is apparent that Bridgewater is not facing a pure shutdown defense this week. Consider starting him, as he should at least finish with decent fantasy totals, and Bridgewater’s playmakers do give him some possible upside.
3. Fant Finding Mission 👀
The Seahawks are facing the Jets this week in a must-win game. Geno Smith’s top WRs draw a stiff challenge against New York CBs Ahmed “Sauce” Gardner and DJ Reed.
Smith can get the ball to Noah Fant frequently as a prime alternative option. He has caught TD passes in three of his past four games, and Fant should see his snap counts increase with Will Dissly (knee) now on IR.
The Jets rank 28th in receiving yards allowed to TEs, so Fant can be a quality contributor in your fantasy football championship matchup.
Prop Bets
Cole Kmet, Anytime TD (+230) at Caesars Sportsbook
Bears-Lions has the highest projected total of the week at 52.0. Detroit has allowed 10 TD receptions to TEs this year, tied for the most in the NFL.
Kmet caught two TD passes in his first meeting with the Lions this season.
Allen Lazard, Anytime TD (+165) at Caesars Sportsbook
As we saw last week with the Giants’ WRs, players at the position who face the Vikings can outperform expectations. Minnesota allows the most FPPG to WRs.
Lazard had a run of five TD receptions in seven games earlier this season, and Aaron Rodgers has an established relationship with him in TD situations.
