How Many Five-Year-Olds Would It Take to Tackle Derrick Henry? 🤣

PLUS: 🚨NEW OVERreaction/UNDERreaction section🚨 + Justin Verlander back to the Astros 🗑, & TGD Trivia! 🧠

In light of all the videos coming out from the training camps and all the videos/games we will be seeing in the NFL in the coming months, I am going to start a series called OVERreaction/UNDERreaction.

Basically, the concept is that we predict which trending video, game, or performance we should take seriously — hence, we bet the OVER — and which ones we are overreacting to and should bet the UNDER.

Here we go.👇

George Pickens, Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver

UNDERRATED - BET THE OVER!

Pickens showed signs of his elite ability last year; the only question is the performance of his quarterback, Kenny Pickett. Last year, his target share was overshadowed by Diontae Johnson and Pat Freiermuth, but that will likely change in his second year.

Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons Running Back

OVERRATED - BET THE UNDER!

He's a rookie who might be a top-five pick in your fantasy draft… WHAT?! He also holds the sixth-highest rushing yards line in the league, set at 1,100.5 on DraftKings.

Yes, this route is absolutely disgusting, and I genuinely believe he will have a spectacular year. However, considering what we have seen so far, which is nothing, I think he is completely overrated. This is a one-on-one drill and he does a double move to get open. I can do that.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys Quarterback

UNDERRATED - BET THE OVER!

Many people unjustly criticize him simply because he's a Cowboys quarterback. True, he had the most interceptions in the league last year with 15, but it's worth noting that even Josh Allen, considered one of the best in the league, had 14 interceptions last year. 🤷‍♂️

However, the team has had another year to develop, with a coaching staff that's still relatively new, and young players on both sides of the ball. As a result, they seem poised to make strides this year. The addition of Brandin Cooks and the departure of Ezekiel Elliott should prove to be beneficial for this offense.

While I don't expect them to have an extraordinary year, I do believe both the team and Dak will show improvement compared to last year.

Justin Verlander Headed Back to the Astros

The New York Mets are sending Justin Verlander back to the Houston Astros. In exchange, the Mets will receive the Astros' top prospect, outfielder Drew Gilbert (ranked #68 in MLB's best prospects), and outfielder Ryan Clifford, who was Houston's fourth-best prospect.

Verlander has had a mixed performance in the 2023 season, with a 3.15 ERA, 3.81 FIP, 7.73 K/9, and 1.14 WHIP over 16 starts. Although he experienced his highest WHIP and ERA since 2017, along with his lowest K/9 since 2014, he has shown improvement lately. Since the beginning of July, Verlander has been one of the top pitchers in baseball, boasting an impressive 1.69 ERA over six starts, ranking fourth-best in MLB during that period.

This was probably one of the most uneventful trade deadlines in recent memory, but the Mets going through a fire sale when they had the highest payroll in baseball is comical. This reminds me, remember when they celebrated their World Series win? OOOOFFAAA THAT LOOKS BAD NOW.

I love the Astros to win the American League. Listen to what Derek Jeter has to say about why he thinks the Astros are the team to beat in October. 👇 This was even before they added Verlander. 👀
