Jets are FORCED to be the Hard Knocks Team This Season

According to the recent report by Mike Florio, it was initially speculated that the New York Jets would be featured on the show "Hard Knocks." However, it is not yet officially confirmed. It appears that certain teams can be "forced" to participate in "Hard Knocks," and the Jets, Saints, Commanders, and Bears are the only teams eligible for such compulsion.

The conditions by the NFL to be able to force a team:  

🏈Teams who have not made the playoffs in the past two years

🏈Teams without a new head coach

🏈Teams not featured on the show in the last decade

The Saints and the Bears would be both very entertaining teams to watch, but please god no do not pick the Commanders. As a Jets fan, I obviously want to see them be the “Hard Knocks” team, but I am also perfectly fine with the Saints or the Bears. Anything but the Commanders. Please, oh god please, do not pick the Commanders. Anything but them would be perfectly fine by me.

If the report ends up being true and the New York Jets are the “Hard Knocks” team this year, I will sh*t my pants. Obviously, out of excitement. 🤣

While being featured on "Hard Knocks" tends to increase a team's popularity among bettors, the correlation between on-field success and the show's participation has been inconsistent. Over the past 21 years of the show's existence, the featured teams have recorded an overall record of 155-168-1 and an against-the-spread (ATS) record of 166-150-8.

If you were to bet $100 on every game involving a "Hard Knocks" team, the earnings would amount to +$747.31.

Only four teams out of the last 13 seasons of "Hard Knocks" have fallen below their Vegas season win total, and just two teams concluded the season with a worse record than the preceding year.

None of the teams featured on the show have reached, let alone won, the Super Bowl in the same season. The 2010 Jets are the only "Hard Knocks" team to have advanced as far as a conference championship game. Overall, "Hard Knocks" teams have won their divisions four times and hold a combined playoff record of 4-7.

The Jets had one of the greatest Hard Knocks seasons ever. With Rodgers at the helm, this might even be better, both on and off the field.

Is This Curry’s Greatest Shot Ever?

Capital One’s The Match will feature NFL and NBA superstar duos going head-to-head, as teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce face Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. TNT will exclusively televise the 12-hole event June 29 from Wynn Las Vegas.

The Splash Brothers are the clear favorites with a solid -265 odds, which honestly makes sense considering Curry is by far the best golfer in the group.

On the other hand, Mahomes and Kelce will enter the event as underdogs at +225 odds. While both Mahomes and Curry have previously appeared in The Match, this will be the first time they team up with their respective partners.

During their participation in the 2022 American Century Championship, Curry finished at a commendable T16, just one spot ahead of his father, Dell Curry 😂. Mahomes secured a T51 spot while Kelce was the worst of the three at 64.

Considering these past performances and acknowledging Thompson's decent golfing abilities, this should be a fun matchup to watch. The Match will be played in a scramble format, which means each player tees off and the team selects the best ball for the next shot. With Curry's golfing prowess, it seems likely that the Splash Brothers will come out on top.

Adding to the excitement, Draymond Green is expected to join the broadcast team, which includes Charles Barkley, Trevor Immelman, Ernie Johnson, Kathryn Tappen, and Von Miller. Even if the golf isn’t good, the broadcast team will be entertaining enough 🤣.
