LIGHT THE BEAM 🔦

I hope your weekend had some thrilling NBA Playoff basketball and maybe even some extra cash from winning some bets. This week is jam-packed with a ton of action, so let's get straight into it. First off, we have to talk about last night's game, which was hands down one of the best games of the year so far. And of course, there's plenty more NBA Playoff excitement to come tonight. Ohtani vs. Judge showdown kicks off this week, and we'll also be diving deep into what Jalen Hurts' contract actually means. This game was as action-packed as they come. I‘m saying Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, and Jackie Chan all combined into one 🤣. This was an incredible game and definitely pushed me to continue watching and betting on these NBA Playoff games.

In yet another stunning victory on Monday night, the Sacramento Kings seized a two-game lead over the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors. The Kings' success was largely attributed to their outstanding defensive performance, which forced the Warriors into committing 22 turnovers.

The Kings really brought their A-game on Monday night, especially after Draymond Green was ejected for his flagrant foul against Domantas Sabonis. They are the first team to snag a 2-0 series lead over the Warriors during the Stephen Curry era.

Draymond is mentally insane. The guy started yelling at Kings fans after he stomped Sabonis and then proceeded to run to his hotel room so he could record another podcast 🤣.

New York Knicks vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Tonight at 7:30 PM on TNT

The Knicks stunned the Cavaliers on the road in Game 1, and following the smack-talking after the game, it would appear Cleveland is ready to hit back in Game 2.

The Knicks did everything we expected them to do, won handily, and still could have played much better.

New York’s most decisive edge in this series is its ability to rebound, and it won that battle 51-38 on Saturday. Even then, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen were both in double digits when it came to rebounds, and on offense, this team got an incredible shooting performance from Donovan Mitchell.

On the other hand, the Cavaliers haven’t exactly defended the three well this season, yet were able to smother New York’s collection of sharpshooters, only to lose anyway.

The Knicks were 27-14-1 against the spread this year on the road and should cover here easily if Game 1 was any indication. Immanuel Quickley had three points and Julius Randle had a terrible game.

Ohtani vs Judge

Tonight at 7:05 PM on MLBN

The two best in the game go head-to-head tonight in an epic matchup that will make us all ask: Who would you rather have on your team?

2022 was truly a game-changer for baseball - we witnessed some of the most incredible feats that the sport has ever seen. Shohei Ohtani was an absolute force, showcasing his dominance both as a pitcher and a hitter. Something we thought we would never see again. Meanwhile, Aaron Judge smashed home runs all season long, breaking the AL single-season HR record.

It's no secret that we all love to compare players and debate who's the best. But there's something special about watching the top athletes in the game face off against each other. The excitement is palpable, the anticipation is high, and the thrill of the competition is unlike anything else.

So let's sit back, relax, and make this game even more exciting with a few big bets for tonight’s game.

The New York Yankees showed true grit in their recent series against Minnesota, managing to turn things around after dropping the first two games. This will give them a boost of confidence heading into tonight’s game.

On the other hand, the Los Angeles Angels had a tough time against the Red Sox during the weekend, but they shouldn't have any trouble scoring with the short porch and Clarke Schmidt on the mound. Schmidt has struggled, allowing 10 runs in just 10.2 innings pitched. The Angels will answer with Jose Suarez, who has allowed 10 earned runs over 8.1 innings pitched.

I like the Over in this game with Schmidt and Suarez on the mound and the Yankees winning by more than 1.5 runs. (See more of our experts' MLB best bets.)

Jalen Hurts Signs Record-Breaking Contract 💰

At this time last year, the Eagles were searching for a franchise quarterback despite Jalen Hurts' decent performance. He had not yet been widely recognized as a dependable option at QB. However, a year later, Hurts has emerged as the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, following an impressive third season that saw him lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl and come in second in MVP voting. This raises the question: What impact will Hurts's success have on the rest of the QB market?

Although the exact details of Lamar Jackson's ongoing negotiations with the Ravens are unclear, it appears that guaranteed money is a crucial factor for him. Ultimately, the Ravens will have to determine what they are willing to offer Jackson, while Jackson himself may need to re-evaluate his demands, considering the recent Hurts contract.
