Japan defeated Mexico 6-5 last night to advance to the 2023 World Baseball Classic finals. In tonight's championship game, Japan will play the United States in a highly anticipated matchup.
Japan is the only multi-time champion in WBC history, but the United States could join them with a win. π
WBC Championship: USA vs Japan
Today at 7:00 PM on FS1
The final showdown that every baseball fan had dreamed of has come to fruition: USA vs Japan, Mike Trout vs Shohei Ohtani. Japan is looking for its third championship title, while Team USA aims to go back-to-back after its victory in 2017.
Who is taking it home? |
Iβm predicting a high-scoring, intense game between these two incredible lineups. Team USA has displayed remarkable performance, having scored 49 runs in six games with an impressive OPS of .961, which is second only to Japan.
I am hammering the over in this one. With star players such as Trea Turner (.368 AVG and 4 HRs) and Mike Trout (.318 AVG), Team USA is looking very strong. On the other hand, Japan is being led by the excellent performances of Shohei Ohtani (.450 AVG) and Masataka Yoshida (.474 AVG).
The pitching quality in these games has been below our expectations. As a result, I am HAMMERING over 10 runs.
Although Japan seems very enticing and the team is coming off an electrifying win against Mexico, I canβt bet against USA. I bleed red, white, and blue. π¦ π
