World Series Best Bet 2023

The Blue Jays are too talented to remain out of the spotlight for long, and 2023 may be their year. Their offensive core of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, George Springer, Matt Chapman, and Alejandro Kirk can be a dominant force.

The offseason additions of Daulton Varsho and Kevin Kiermaier give them a strong defensive outfield that should help support their pitching staff.

Most importantly, the Jays filled a major hole in their starting rotation by signing veteran right-hander Chris Bassitt, giving them a top four of Alek Manoah, Kevin Gausman, Bassitt, and Jose Berrios. This is an excellent group to start with, with Jordan Romano acting as a strong anchor.

 🤯 Umpire Ejects J.T. Realmuto For…

This might be one of the craziest ejections I have ever seen

One of the most entertaining things in baseball is watching a player or manager get tossed from the game. Everything about it is beautiful, the motion of getting ejected, the managers kicking sand, the umpire receiving an earful right to his face.

Nonetheless, this has to be among the most effortless ejections ever, and the umpire has to be looking back it with regret. J.T. Realmuto, catcher for the Phillies, did absolutely nothing to warrant it. From what we could see, there seemed to be a slight miscommunication while returning the ball to the pitcher, but nothing that warranted an ejection — unless, of course, Realmuto said something we missed.

IS IT TIME FOR ROBOT UMPIRES?

March Madness Final Four: THE NEW BLOODS

It is not the Final Four any of us expected, although we will gladly embrace the 2023 edition. Last year, we had certified blue bloods in the Final Four. This year, we have new bloods. Three of the four remaining schools in this installment of the NCAA Tournament are national-semifinal newcomers.

UConn is the one clear favorite, despite the fact it was the No. 4 seed in the West Region. Florida Atlantic (No. 9), San Diego State (No. 5), and Miami (No. 5) will join the Huskies, making arguably the most unlikely collection of clubs in Final Four history.

Now, back to making money with these Final Four Props.

Simply put, UConn is on a tear. Not only are the Huskies the hottest team in all of sports, but they’re getting off to fast starts that are putting the team in successful positions out of the gate.

We saw that against Gonzaga, and the end result was a spectacular blowout. While I don’t expect we will see that type of game, there is no reason to believe UConn will slow down here.

If Miami gets hot from the three-point line early, well, this one could be tricky. But I believe UConn can match the Hurricanes there, especially early, and I like this bet a lot even parlayed with these other bets.👇

We stay with the race-to-15 theme, and we move to the other side of the bracket.

This time, however, we like the (slight) dog. That dog, FAU, has been on an absolute run. The gritty 79-76 win over a feisty Kansas State team showed us a bit of everything. The Owls also shot well from the three-point line, and that could serve them well here.

They’re going to play fast. No, scratch that. They need to play fast.

FAU’s transition offense is the perfect counter to San Diego State’s defense, and I think it suits them perfectly in this kind of bet.

Using the same sort of mindset and theme as stated above, I don’t think FAU will stop scoring against a very good defensive team.

Whether it’s Bryan Greenlee or Alijah Martin or another very capable player on a really good team, FAU, which has only scored fewer than 65.5 points once all tournament, should find a way to eclipse that total once again.

Yes, the Aztecs have a great defense and have held teams under 65 points all tournament. But pace will be an enormous factor here, and the style will be enough to create just enough offense.
