Domingo GermƔn Perfect Game

The right-hander threw the 24th perfect game in MLB history in an 11-0 victory over the struggling Oakland Athletics at a sparsely attended Oakland Coliseum. This achievement marks the fourth perfect game in Yankees history, joining the ranks of Don Larsen, David Wells, and David Cone while solidifying the team's record for the most perfect games among all MLB franchises.

The final stat line: nine innings pitched, 0 hits, 0 walks, nine strikeouts, and only 99 pitches thrown. It was flawless. šŸ˜¤

The odds of a perfect game happening in an MLB game are about .000983%. Imagine betting on one šŸ¤Æ.

Do You Remember This? šŸ‘Ž

Jim Joyce robbed Armando Galarraga of a perfect game.

On June 2, 2010, Galarraga was ROBBED of a perfect game by one of the most impactful blown calls in baseball history.

Galarraga handled this with pure class. To not want to go ballistic but rather give a small smile and then go get the last out. To hold your composure in a moment like that and even after during the press conferences is truly impressive.

Personally, I cannot fathom the frustration of thinking you had accomplished one of the most challenging feats in baseball, only to have it invalidated by a single erroneous call. This incident may even hold greater significance for the game of baseball than an actual perfect game. I will forever remember Galarragaā€™s name and game, but I will forget GermĆ”nā€™s in a few years.

Petition to MLB to add Galarragaā€™s name in the history books, making GermĆ”nā€™s game the 25th perfect game ever recorded.

In my opinion, Adam's team takes the top spot, followed by Zach at second place, Felipe at third, and unfortunately, Brian falls into the last position at fourth. Apologies, Brian.

Capital Oneā€™s The Match Predictions

The event will take place this Thursday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. ET at The Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas. As we discussed earlier in the week, the Kansas City Chiefsā€™ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce face off against the Golden State Warriorsā€™ Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. And of course, Charles Barkley will be the main commentator, and heā€™ll be in the golfersā€™ ears, talking trash, conducting micro-interviews, and providing commentary on the golf match.

As mentioned above, this is only the second time that no professional golfers will be taking part in this event. Curry has the lowest handicap of the four golfers, coming in at a +1 handicap, which means heā€™s better than a scratch golfer.

His partner, Thompson, plays to a 15. Mahomes and Kelce, meanwhile, play to a 7 and 11, respectively.

Curry/Thompson to Win (-230) ā€¢ DraftKings Sportsbook

The scramble format makes this a little of a closer match than the handicaps would suggest; however, Curry being better than a scratch golfer tilts the favor to the Warriors just enough to get me to take them.

Curryā€™s ability to be pinpoint should come in handy just enough times to mitigate Thompsonā€™s struggles around the course, and Iā€™m unsure that Mahomes and Kelce can get hot enough to stop them.

You can get creative here, too, by parlaying this golf bet of the day with other golf futures. For instance, Scottie Scheffler to win The Open is +900, and the two bets parlayed together would yield +1334 odds if won.

Most Par 3 Winners: Curry/Thompson (-145) ā€¢ DraftKings Sportsbook

This again stems from Curry being able to get much more dialed in with his irons than the other three players given the skill gap between them all.

If Mahomes and Kelce are unable to dial in irons and wedges, Curry and Thompson will be able to take advantage to get the ball in closer on the par 3s.

Under 10 (-115) ā€¢ DraftKings Sportsbook

We could be in for a (very) poor manā€™s pitcherā€™s duel on Thursday when Kyle Hendricks and the Cubs host Taijuan Walker and the Phillies.

Hendricks has turned back the clock this season, sporting a 2.60 ERA and 3.54 FIP over six starts with a 0.98 WHIP and a .195 batting average against. The 33-year-old should be able to tame a Phillies lineup that has produced a 78 wRC+ and .289 wOBA over the last 14 days.

Meanwhile, Walker has been solid over 83.1 innings, posting a 4.10 ERA and 4.10 SIERA with a .230 batting average against. It is unlikely the 30-year-old will be able to keep Chicago off the scoreboard, but he should fare ok considering the Cubsā€™ .301 xwOBA versus right-handed pitching over the past month.

I expect several runs scored, but 10 is a bit too high, making this our MLB bet of the day.

Red Sox F5 ML (-115) ā€¢ DraftKings Sportsbook

Since April 29, Bryan Bello boasts a stellar 2.45 ERA over 10 outings with a 3.55 FIP and a 57.3% groundball rate.

The 24-year-old is breaking out before our eyes, and I expect his momentum to continue against a Marlins offense carrying a 46.4% groundball rate over the past two weeks with a 5.2% barrel rate.

On the other side, JesĆŗs Luzardo has been solid over 16 starts, posting a 3.77 ERA and 3.50 SIERA over 90.2 innings. However, Boston has earned a .333 xwOBA versus southpaws over the past 30 days and should be able to tally Bello some run support during the first five innings.

I would avoid the full-game moneyline due to Miami holding an advantage in the bullpen.
