Women’s World Cup: USWNT vs Netherlands
Wednesday, July 26 at 9:00 p.m. ET on FOX
Today’s contest is a highly anticipated rematch of the 2019 Women's World Cup final, where the defending champions, USA, secured a 2-0 victory over the then-European-champion Netherlands. Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle emerged as the heroes, leading the USWNT to its fourth world championship.
As both teams gear up for matchday two, their eyes are fixed on maintaining their winning streaks. In their previous game, the United States showcased their dominance against newcomers Vietnam, clinching a convincing 3-0 victory with talented young forward Sophia Smith netting two goals and Lindsey Horan adding another.
Despite not playing their best, Team USA displayed their strength, securing a comfortable win and leaving Vietnam with no shots on goal. The star-studded American roster continues to shine, making them formidable contenders for the cup.
While the Netherlands poses a tougher challenge compared to Vietnam, this US team may be too good to lose a single match. The USA boasts an impressive track record in Women's World Cup group stage matches, winning eight, drawing one, and losing one in their last ten encounters and emerging victorious in four of their last five matches against the Netherlands.
With the USA's dominant performance and manager Vlatko Andonovski's strategic prowess, I have confidence they will emerge victorious with a final score of 2-0.
Moreover, I'm going all-in on Sophia Smith to score anytime during the match. She's proving herself to be a true all-star on the team, and with other players getting older, it might be time for the young guns to take charge and shine.

Travis Kelce Could Not Score With Taylor Swift?!
On his New Heights podcast, Kelce says, “I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
“She doesn't meet anybody -- or at least she didn't want to meet me, so I took it personal.”
We later find out the bracelet had his phone number on it. 🤣 He might score during the NFL season, but he got rejected by T-Swift.
I’m sure the Swifties will not be happy with Kelce after calling her out… 🎶 so baby, now they've got bad blood. 🎶
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any betting correlations with dating T-Swift, but it would be interesting to hear a song about Kelce making her split the dinner bill. If you didn’t know, Kelce was accused of this by his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. 😂
Saquon Barkley’s Brief Holdout is Over
Saquon Barkley has agreed to terms on a new 1-year deal with the Giants worth up to $11M, per @RapSheet 👀

Saquon Barkley's short holdout has come to an end. Early on Tuesday, the star running back and the Giants reportedly reached an agreement on a one-year deal, putting to rest his unsigned franchise tag tender. This deal includes incentives tied to achieving 1,300 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, and 65 catches, which could earn him around $2 million more than the franchise tag would have provided.
During the 2022 season, Barkley showcased his talent by rushing for 1,312 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns, all while adding 57 receptions, contributing to the Giants' successful season.
Barkley will make $29 MILLION LESS PER YEAR than his QB Daniel Jones. I know it’s comparing apples to oranges but it is an unfair world running backs live in. If Jones is the guy and player I believe him to be, I think he will support Barkley in achieving his incentives.
The one-year deal indicates hesitation from both parties, testing Barkley's true value before committing to a long-term contract. Although Barkley might not be entirely pleased with the outcome, witnessing the consequences of previous players' holdouts, he may recognize that the short-term gains aren't worth the long-term risks.
With Barkley already back on the field, it's evident that he is ready to make an impact and prove his worth. The upcoming season holds the potential for Barkley to excel, thereby demonstrating to either the Giants or another team the value he brings to the game.
He is already back making plays. 👇
