Week 15 TNF: Rams vs 49ers

Plus: Fantasy Football Rankings, NBA Parlays, Sunday Night Football & Sportsbook Promos

Thursday Night Football features an NFC West clash between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers in Week 15.

The Rams (7-6) are coming off a thrilling win over the Bills, continuing to stay alive in the division race. The 49ers (6-7) blew out the Bears, so they still have a slight chance to make the playoffs, as long as they win out.

With that in mind, let’s dive into the Rams vs 49ers matchup, including best bets and predictions for this Week 15 game.

TNF Score Prediction: Rams 31, 49ers 28

Matthew Stafford is playing terrific football right now, coming off an excellent performance against the Bills where he completed 23-of-30 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns.

Getting back top wideout Puka Nacua has been huge for the Rams, who have won five of their last seven games with the second-year receiver back in the fold.

On the other side, the 49ers did a great job bouncing back with a blowout over the Bears, but they'll still be playing without stud offensive tackle Trent Williams, which is a major loss.

The good news is that there's a chance that edge rusher Nick Bosa and linebacker Dre Greenlaw can return, while running back Isaac Guerendo is likely to play.

With that said, Stafford is playing too well for me to fade the Rams right now, especially against a 49ers team without their best offensive lineman.

Now let’s give you a sneak peek of our best bets:

TNF Prop Bet: Cooper Kupp Under 21.5 Longest Reception (-115)

I got Cooper Kupp longest reception last night at 22.5, but it has moved to 21.5, which is still playable.

Kupp lines up in the slot 58% of the time, which means that he'll be matched up with Deommodore Lenoir.

Take a look at the longest reception that other 50+% slot receivers put up vs the 49ers this season:

  • CeeDee Lamb: 29 yards

  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba: 20 yards, 19 yards

  • Khalil Shakir: 18 yards

  • Keenan Allen: 14 yards

  • Jayden Reed: 13 yards

  • DeMario Douglas: 8 yards

  • Sterling Shepard: 7 yards

  • Greg Dortch: 7 yards

As you can see, eight of nine receivers with 50+% slot usage have gone Under this number vs the 49ers this year, making Cooper Kupp Under 21.5 longest reception look like a strong play.

🏈 Fantasy Football Rankings

It's time to win your leagues in the fantasy playoffs by taking a look at our weekly fantasy football rankings.

Frank Ammirante finished No. 6 in fantasy football rankings in the FantasyPros Accuracy contest, so be sure to use these ranks to help draft your teams.

Here’s a preview of who Frank loves this week:

  • Sam Darnold is on fire right now, putting up 24.7 PPG in his last four (QB5). This is a sneaky spot vs the Bears, who have gotten shredded by Darnold, Brock Purdy, and Jordan Love in recent weeks.

  • Brian Robinson Jr. is in a good spot in a projected positive game script with the Commanders as seven-point favorites vs Jake Haener and the Saints. We could see an efficient game with at least one touchdown here.

  • Jerry Jeudy could have another big game vs a pass-funnel Chiefs defense in a matchup where the Browns are likely to be playing from behind.

  • Perhaps we'll see Jake Ferguson bounce back vs a Panthers defense allowing the most fantasy PPG to tight ends.

  • We just saw Amari Cooper rack up 14 targets vs the Rams. That bodes well in a potential shootout vs the Lions.

🏀 NBA Parlays

Don’t miss out on our NBA Parlays — here’s a preview for you:

NBA Best Parlay (+261)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

  • Pistons +12.5 (-112) @ Celtics

  • Raptors +10.5 (-110) @ Heat

Thursday's best NBA parlay is a two-leg bet at (+267).

I’ll start with the Pistons to cover as 12.5-point road underdogs against the Celtics. Boston already has two victories against Detroit this season, but it could not create a significant margin, winning by 10 and six points. Cade Cunningham and Co. are 6-3-1 against the spread as road underdogs this season, while the Celtics are 4-9 ATS as home favorites. It's not a pretty pill to swallow, but taking the points with the Pistons is the move on Wednesday night.

Next, I’ll back the Raptors in a similar spot as 10.5-point road underdogs against the Heat. Toronto owns a 1-11 record on its travels but has been much better against the number (7-5). These two teams have also met twice this season, with Miami earning a 10-point home victory on Nov. 29. Toronto returned the favor days later at home, winning 119-116. Look for the Raptors to keep this contest relatively close.

🏈 Week 15 SNF Packers vs Seahawks

The Week 15 edition of Sunday Night Football will see Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers (9-4) visit Geno Smith and the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks (8-5) in an intriguing NFC showdown.

The Packers are coming off a 34-31 primetime setback against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night, while the Seahawks reeled off their fourth consecutive victory on Sunday, defeating the Arizona Cardinals 30-18 to solidify their spot atop the division.

If the season ended today, these two teams would meet at Lumen Field in the Wild Card round, so this highly-anticipated SNF matchup could be a postseason preview.

SNF Score Prediction: Packers 27, Seahawks 17

Although these teams have similar records, the underlying metrics suggest the Packers are far superior. Green Bay ranks third in team total DVOA, behind Detroit and Baltimore, whereas Seattle sits 15th.

The Seahawks enter on a four-game winning run, but it's difficult to discern how much we can take from those victories. Winning in San Francisco with your season on the line was impressive, but the 49ers clearly aren't what they were last season. Otherwise, Mike Macdonald's squad swept a Cardinals team that was projected to finish last in the division and struggled to beat the 3-10 Jets in New York.

Meanwhile, Green Bay just went toe-to-toe with the 12-1 Lions for the second time in a month and owns a 3-0 record against the NFC West, having won those games by a combined score of 96-42. Jordan Love and the offense have put up 30-plus points in three consecutive games and five of their last eight.

While Seattle's defense has been improving under Macdonald, the Packers have too much talent and should continue to push the Lions and Vikings in the crowded NFC North.

SNF Over/Under Pick: Packers @ Seahawks Under 45.5 Points (-108)

SNF Unders have been on a roll this season, and we should see another lower-scoring environment in this matchup between the Packers and Seahawks.

Seattle has been a team I want to target for Unders, as they have been improving on defense and struggling to score touchdowns in the red zone, ranking 20th in that category at 54.29%. The Seahawks put up 30 points last week for just the second time this season and were aided by a pair of first-half interceptions thrown by Kyler Murray, which resulted in touchdown drives of 19 and 46 yards that took a combined six plays.

Green Bay also operates at the league's fifth-slowest pace in the NFL (30.4 seconds per play), so its scoring drives should take some time off the clock.
