Week 16 MNF: Saints vs Packers

Plus: NBA Props, NHL Parlays, & Sportsbook Promos

Monday Night Football features a potential blowout in Week 16.

The Saints (5-9) go at it with the Packers (10-4) in an NFC game that Green Bay should control.

Let’s take a look at our predictions for this game:

MNF Score Prediction: Packers 31, Saints 10

It's hard to envision a scenario where fifth-round rookie Spencer Rattler goes into Lambeau Field to knock off the Packers in his fourth career start, especially without Alvin Kamara.

In three games with Rattler as starter, the Saints have lost 51-27, 33-10, and 26-8.

Look for more of the same against an underrated Packers defense.

Green Bay currently ranks 6th in Pass EPA and 9th in Rush EPA.

Expect the Saints to struggle to move the ball in this one. With their defense on the field often thanks to a depleted offense that can't sustain drives, the Packers should also pour on the points.

Now let’s give you a sneak peek of our best bets:

MNF Prop Bet: Josh Jacobs Under 21.5 Rush Attempts (-130)

Josh Jacobs has 265 carries this season, averaging 18.9 rush attempts per game. We've seen a huge workload for Jacobs at times, including four games with 25+ carries.

But I'm going with the Under in this spot.

For one, 21.5 is a high bar to clear. Jacobs has gone Under this number in 10 of 14 games this season.

The reason why it's so high is because the Packers are likely to dominate time of possession given the Saints' projected struggle on offense with Spencer Rattler under center.

My counterpoint to that is this: since the Packers should control this game, there's no need to give Jacobs a huge workload. They can mix in Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks to give their workhorse back a bit of a break.

You don't want to overwork your best offensive weapon, especially with the playoffs coming up.

LaMelo Ball: Over 43.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-120) vs Rockets

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

LaMelo Ball is averaging 30.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 7.5 assists this season, which adds up to 43.2 in total -- right around tonight's 43.5 prop.

This is a terrific spot for Ball because Brandon Miller is out, meaning we'll see more usage from the Hornets' star guard. Ball will have to carry the Hornets' offense tonight.

According to @DK__DFS on X with stats from NBA.com, Ball has a 42.5% usage rate and 37% assist percentage when Miller is off the court.

It's also worth noting that this prop is at 44.5 at virtually every other sportsbook, but we're getting it at 43.5 at DraftKings.

Sabres vs Islanders SGP (+325)

  • Sabres ML (+130)

  • Under 5.5 Goals (+102)

I’m zeroing in on this Eastern Conference matchup between the Buffalo Sabres (11-19-4) and New York Islanders (13-14-7) for today’s best NHL same-game parlay (+325).

Let’s start with the Sabres to win as road underdogs. Buffalo enters this matchup on a 13-game losing streak and is quickly approaching the NHL record of 17 straight defeats. This matchup against the Islanders feels like a decent opportunity, especially since New York could be rusty after a lengthy layoff.

I’ll also back the Under in this contest with the total sitting at 5.5 goals. Buffalo (2.82) and New York (2.65) are two of the lower-scoring teams in the NHL, and the most recent matchup between these teams featured three goals. I expect a similarly low-scoring environment in what should be a competitive contest.

Back the Sabres to snap the skid and the Under for a solid return on your investment.
