Week 7 MNF: Ravens/Bucs + Chargers/Cardinals
Plus: Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, NBA Predictions, & Sportsbook Promos
We have another Monday Night Football doubleheader on tap for Week 7 of the NFL season. The Baltimore Ravens (4-2) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) will open the action at 8:15 p.m. ET before the Los Angeles Chargers (3-2) and Arizona Cardinals (2-4) take the field at 9 p.m.
Baltimore and Tampa Bay both won in Week 6, with the latter scoring a season-high 51 points. Meanwhile, Los Angeles earned a much-needed victory over the Broncos, while Arizona was blown out by the Packers, 34-13.
Let’s give you a sneak peek of two of my best bets for these games.
MNF Pick Against the Spread: Ravens -3.5 (-110) @ Buccaneers
The Ravens haven't been perfect, but they have plenty of momentum right now thanks to a dominant ground game led by Jackson and Henry. They've also seemingly gotten their act together after an 0-2 start, winning four straight while scoring at least 28 points in each.
Tampa Bay doesn't have the personnel required to stop this Baltimore offense. The Bucs can certainly keep pace through the air, but I'm not sure it'll be enough to keep this game within 3.5 points. I'm siding with the Ravens here.
MNF Over/Under Pick: Chargers @ Cardinals Under 44 Points (-110)
Los Angeles has the best defense in the NFL, and Arizona has looked anything but efficient lately. That's not exactly a recipe for the Over, and this isn't an especially low total, either.
This isn't just my favorite bet for Chargers vs Cardinals — it's my favorite Monday Night Football wager between these two games. Lock in the Under at 44 points.

🏈 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire
Drake Maye, New England Patriots (16% rostered in Yahoo leagues)
Drake Maye is now in this column for the third week in a row following a strong performance against the Jaguars where he put up 20.84 fantasy points.
While some of the production came in garbage time, it was impressive to see Maye complete 26-of-37 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns.
It's a tough matchup on paper in Week 8 vs the Jets, but we just saw this defense allow Russell Wilson to throw for 264 yards and two touchdowns.
Find out who else you should pick up on your waiver wires for Week 8.
🏀 NBA Opening Night Predictions: Knicks vs Celtics
Part of what made the Celtics so dangerous in 2023-24 was their ability to win on either end of the floor. Boston ranked first in offense and third in defense, and they were often capable of adapting on the fly if a certain matchup required more or less attention in either regard.
After being eliminated in the second round last season, the Knicks shored up both fronts, bringing in Bridges from Brooklyn and Towns from Minnesota to build around a core led by Jalen Brunson. Bridges is a two-way stud who can defend virtually every position, while Towns is arguably the league's best sharpshooting big.
Adding Towns should dramatically improve this team's spacing, and thus, create an even more potent offense. Whether it'll be enough to take down Jayson Tatum and the Celtics, though, remains to be seen.
Perhaps New York will get the best of Boston a bit later in the season, but I can't see the Knicks pulling off the upset on ring night. Expect a hard-fought contest, but look for the Celtics to come out on top.
Celtics 119, Knicks 112
🏀 Timberwolves vs Lakers
Timberwolves -2 (-110) @ Lakers
Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo don't have the same top-end talent as Karl-Anthony Towns, but together, the two of them should be able to make up the difference. Randle has averaged 22.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists over the last six seasons, while DiVincenzo converted 40.1% of his looks from beyond the arc in 2023-24.
Minnesota still has a great roster outside of Edwards and the new additions, including Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid, and Jaden McDaniels. This team is accustomed to winning on both ends of the floor, but it was particularly strong defensively last season, ranking No. 1 in points allowed (106.5) and defensive rating.
