How will this week's Monday Night Football action go down? Here are the latest odds for Buccaneers vs Chiefs, plus my predictions and best bets for the big game.

I'm a believer in the Chiefs, but I'm not sure the Buccaneers will go down as easily as oddsmakers expect. Kansas City has had some close calls this season, and Tampa Bay is averaging a tick over 34 points per game in its last five outings.

Baker Mayfield has been a driving force in the Buccaneers' success. The 29-year-old QB has thrown a league-high 21 touchdowns this season. He's also been out of control at times — his nine interceptions are also a league-high — and the Chiefs could be poised to capitalize.

It's also hard to go against Patrick Mahomes in this scenario, even though he's posted pretty mediocre stats thus far. Mahomes remains one of the best players in the NFL — if not the best — and is made for the big moments.

One key factor I'll be keeping an eye on is how well the Buccaneers can convert on third down. Tampa Bay ranks No. 1 in the NFL with a 52.5% rate, but Kansas City's defense is just outside the top 10 in opponent conversion rate.
