Caitlin Clark + Iowa Win It All? Open for Our Womenâs Tourney Picks
Itâs their turn: The womenâs NCAA Tournament starts Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The powerhouse trio of favorites â South Carolina (32-0), Iowa, and LSU â shouldnât steal the spotlight from a talented group that includes USC, UConn, and Stanford waiting to snatch the trophy from them.
Can Iowaâs Caitlin Clark, NCAA Division I Basketballâs all-time leading scorer, end her collegiate career with the ultimate prize? Will South Carolina finish a perfect season by cutting down the nets? Will LSU or someone else spoil for both?
Keep reading to see how weâre picking and betting on what might be one of the most anticipated NCAA Tournaments in recent history.

â Experts Split On Womenâs Tourney Winner, Most Outstanding Player
Our womenâs March Madness roundtable is split firmly on which school will cut down the nets â and, in turn, who will win the tournamentâs Most Outstanding Player:
đ¤ âCaitlin Clarkâs Iowa Hawkeyes wonât have an easy path to the title, but sheâs proven time and time and again throughout her career that no moment is too big for her.â
đ â[For the tourneyâs Most Oustanding Player,] Iâm tempted to pick Clark because sheâs that special, but this award is typically reserved for someone on the winning team. Thus, Iâll go with the 6-foot-7 Kamilla Cardoso, whoâs shown an ability to take over games when sheâs in a groove.â
đŻ âWhile Clark has received all the fanfare, LSUâs Angel Reese quietly continues grabbing boards and scoring buckets. She leads LSU with 19 points and 13.1 caroms per game. If LSU is to defend its crown, Reese must make an even bigger impact than she already does â and she will, because sheâs a gamer.â
